Jason Mercer

Jason Mercer is a multi-instrumentalist who plays double bass, electric bass, banjo, and guitar. He has toured the world working with a number of artists, most notably Ron Sexsmith and Ani DiFranco. Jason was a member of the alt rock band, the Bourbon Tabernacle Choir in the 80’s and 90’s.

Jason is also a recording engineer and producer who runs Neptune’s Machine, a recording studio on Wolfe Island. I was most fortunate to make this record with Jason who recorded, mixed, and co-produced Polishing Stone. Oh, yes, he also plays upright bass and banjo on the album.
