Sixty Songs at Sixty—the idea of collecting sixty songs written over many years and compiling them during my sixtieth year on the planet seemed both alliterative and attractive. Polishing Stone: The Collected Lyrics was thus born on October 31, 2019 as a quiet celebration while I began work in the studio recording ‘Polishing Stone,’ an album of 10 new songs released April 1, 2021. Unlike the album of the same name, Polishing Stone is a collection of lyrics that stand alone, without accompanying melodies.
